Log File Data

Our website may be used without needing to provide personal data. However, if you request a web page, some data must be transferred to our server, particularly the requesting IP address and the name of the requested page. This data, together with the date and time of the request, is automatically saved in the server's log files. Furthermore, the type and version of the web browser, the type of operating system and the referrer URL are stored, provided that the configuration of your web browser determines that this information shall be transmitted to the server.

The logged data is used solely in anonymous and aggregated form for statistical purposes in order to evaluate and optimize our web offering, or to detect and prevent misuse of our IT systems. We never transfer this data to third parties, except if required by law.

Some of our web pages use so-called HTTP cookies, especially to make the online ordering and download function available and to avoid that forms must be refilled at each request. If a web browser is configured so as to not accept cookies, some parts of our web offer might not work correctly.

Personal data

When you purchase software from us, we collect and store the personal information you transmit to us. Additionally, we receive and record information about your identity from third-party payment providers (e.g. your name and email address when a payment is processed by Paypal). To the extent required in order to process payments, your billing details are sent to, collected and processed by service providers such as credit card companies.

Your personal data is processed only for the purpose for which you made it available to us. Further collection, processing and use of personal data takes place only if you have given your explicit consent. We will not disclose any data to government agencies or other third parties except where required by law.

Personal data is only stored until the purpose for which we collected it is fulfilled. As far as trade and tax retention periods must be observed, the duration of storage of certain data can be up to 10 years.

Your Rights

According to the German Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz – BDSG) you have the right to be informed about your stored personal data free of charge. In this case, or if you wish any data to be corrected or deleted, or have any other questions regarding the collection, processing or use of your personal data, please contact us at the address provided in the Imprint.

As our web presence is developed further and new technologies are implemented in order to improve our service, it may also be necessary to make amendments to this privacy statement. We would therefore recommend you visit this page from time to time.
